Bug Description
Could not get the Play button to start a channel or the Stop button to stop a channel from playing. To start a channel, I double left click and the channel starts playing. No way to stop a channel other than to double click on some other channel. I am running Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 (used the .deb file to install).

Could you try with development branch?
I need some logs for see the behaviour when it freeze the buttons.
Could you run with tivion -d and attach the output on a file?
