Bug Description

Binary package hint: adept

I clicked on the Adept icon in the system tray, and ran an update to pull down the latest. While it was doing that, I realized there were some repositories that I wished to comment out for the update, so I killed Adept by clicking the window X (KDE's). Adept quit immediately.

I then manually edited sources.list, and fired up synaptic. Synaptic complained that it couldn't get an exclusive lock. Sure enough, when I looked at the process list, I saw the following left over from Adept:

 5293 ? S 0:00 /usr/lib/apt/methods/http
 5294 ? S 0:00 /usr/lib/apt/methods/http
 5295 ? S 0:00 /usr/lib/apt/methods/http
 5296 ? S 0:00 /usr/lib/apt/methods/http
 5297 ? S 0:00 /usr/lib/apt/methods/http
 5299 ? S 0:00 /usr/lib/apt/methods/gpgv
