could you get a firefox log? the player is launched but nothing is played there. Please run firefox from the command line as: firefox &> firefox-log.txt ; perform the steps to reproduce the bug and attach that resulting log file to the report; Thanks in advance!.

I think this is two separate bugs, and in comment #2 Pedro is talking about the second bug, which is the one with the audio. I get that too under Karmic.

The first bug (the one with the video, which is shown in the Capture-9.png screenshot) is a regression from Karmic. In Karmic the video plays back embedded in Firefox. Good movie that one, too :)

Check Firefox's Edit -> Preferences -> Applications list and make sure that the "QuickTime video" content type has it's Action set to "Use QuickTime Plug-in 7.2.0 (in Firefox)". In Lucid the version might be later than 7.2.0.

Yes it's the quicktime plugin 7.2.0

Both of the examples in the original report are now playing fine here in Lucid. Don't forget to adjust the volume slider in the embedded totem player.
