Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

Ubuntu version: 9.10 Karmic Koala on amd64
Evince version: 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2

In Karmic, Evince doesn't render the backgrounds correctly on White Wolf Games's Werewolf: the Forsaken core rulebook PDF. The shapes are correct, but the colors have an "inverted" sort of look (see attached screenshots) which makes the text nearly impossible to read.

xpdf renders the file correctly, and so does the version of Evince that comes with the most recent versions of Ubuntu 9.04 (I have another computer that I haven't upgraded to 9.10 yet, and the PDF works fine -- note that it's a 32-bit version of Intrepid, though, unlike the 64-bit Karmic on which the bug occurs).

The attached screenshots show two pages of the PDF in both Evince and xpdf for comparison.

The PDF itself is commercial, so I can't attach it. However, a sample can be downloaded for free at http://watermark.drivethrustuff.com/pdf_previews/1716-sample.pdf

It only contains the first 6 pages but exhibits the same problems as the full version. In fact, it is this sample that I used to take the two "prologue" screenshots.
