Bug Description

While trying to printing documents from OpenOffice I selected to print multiple copies of the document and selected print. Unfortunatly only one copy was printed. I repeated the process and had the same results.

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'openoffice'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.

This is occurring for me with Edgy. It seems to happen with my HP LaserJet 1200. I'm running CUPS 1.2.4-2ubuntu3 and OO.o 2.0.4-0ubuntu2.

And the printer def from printers.conf:

should be fixed in feisty (OOo 2.2.0); please reopen if you still can reproduce that. won't be fixed for dapper

The bug still is present in Gutsy 7.10! Printing multiple copies is only possible via 'system-administration-printing' menu. It prints the number set there, regardless of the number set in the printingmenu showed from the 'file-print'-dialog opened from the openoffice.org menu!

I believe that this bug has been corrected in Ubuntu hardy openoffice.org 1:2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3 so I am marking it as Fix Released. If after upgrading you continue to have problems with this issue then feel free to reopen this bug.

Tested printing on amd64 to verify since it was apparently an arch specific bug.

Thanks,

Chris Cheney

I am reopening this bug as I am seeing this problem on ubuntu 8.10 i386
If I attempt to print >2 copies of a document, it prints two copies and the third and subsequent copies come out as blank pages. Printer is a samsung ML-2851ND if it matters, using the recommended driver from linuxprinting.org (see http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Samsung-ML-2851ND). Installed version of openoffice is 1:2.4.1-11ubuntu-2.1. Let me know if you need any more information.

Moving to Confirm as this isn't really a New bug report.
I've tried on Ubuntu 8.0.4 LTS AMD64 on LaserJet 2605dn and I could print 4 copies fine.
Is printing fine from FireFox or Text Editor?
How about Spreadsheet or Presentation?

I tried printing 3 copies of an email in evolution and I experienced the
same problem - the third copy is blank. Perhaps this is a more generic
problem. I also tried gedit and see the problem there too.
