Bug Description

Binary package hint: usplash

Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala

usplash:
  Installed: 0.5.49
  Candidate: 0.5.49
  Version table:
 *** 0.5.49 0
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

When booting the normal ubuntu image in the centre of the screen appears (This is what should happen). However 9/10 times another image appear on then right horizontal to the centre image. The image on the right however is sometimes cut off at the bottom or top and is sometimes not fully 'illuminated'.

It seems like the cache of the graphics card isn't been wiped and it displaying the image sin the cache over on the right.

I can only see this on my larger screen (1920*1080) and not on my smaller one (1280*1024). So only some people my be able to see this error.

Thanks in advance.

Andy
