Thank your for reporting this bug and helping to make Kubuntu better. Did you have kdm running whlie removing it?
Also, why did you want to remove it in the first place? Thanks in advance.

Stopping K Display Manager: kdm.
The application 'frontend' lost its connection to the display :0.0;
most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed
the application.
dpkg: error processing kdm (--remove):
 subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit status 1
