Full crash when making a video call over Gtalk

Binary package hint: empathy

Empathy crashes when initiating a video call over Gtalk. This started happening a while after the Karmic release, it used to work flawlessly on the beta and RC versions.

There are no messages or crash handlers shown, the empathy window on both sides of the conversation just vanishes.

I'm having trouble reproducing the crash, though I now only get black screens for video feeds over empathy instead of crashes.
This new problem is also not consitent, so video will work about 50% of the time.

Thanks for the reply. I am marking this bug invalid and please open a new bug report for black screen for video and attach the gable debug log in that bug report so that we can send the bug report upstream to the developers of the app. To save debug file click on Help>debug and select gabble there on empathy contact list make a video call and if you get the black screen click on hang up and save the gabble log by clicking on the save button and link it to the new bug report.
