I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 on a Dell 1545 laptop. Adobe Reader fails to print to Xerox 7346 using correct PPD file (via CUPS). Typically only the first 2 pages are printed. Has happened to more than 10 pdfs (all scientific articles). Same files are printed OK via evince or through the 7346 web page interface for printing ready-to-go file types like pdf, tiff, ps, etc. If I make a pdf from a large OpenOffice document, it always prints OK no matter how many pages. The 7346 just about 2 weeks ago replaced a Konica-Minolta printer/copier. Adobe Reader failed in exactly the same way with the Konica-Minolta C352 printer (also used the official printer PPD file). Finally, the same files that fail to print using Adobe Reader on the 7346, print OK on an HP Laserjet 4100 (I don't believe is using a PPD file). Same problem printing to Xerox 6180 printer using PPD file. (Similar problems when running Ubuntu 9.04 before upgrade to 10.04.)
