[Wishlist] Bandwidth profiles

Very, very often we, BitTorrent users, have to reduce the bandwidth settings in order to save enough speed to browse the web properly, and then, when we leave our computers and decide to let the client running, we must again go to the Preferences UI, navigate to Connection Settings and change the values manually in order to dedicate all bandwidth to torrent download and upload.

Wouldn't it be better if we could just right-click the "qb" panel icon and choose "Play-nice profile" or "Suck-all-bandwidth profile"? Is it a feature we've seen on other clients? Because definitely I would make use of such a thing in qBittorrent!

This is a great idea. To late for v2.1.0 though (it entered Feature Freeze). I'll probably add it in v2.2.0.

Then you might also consider an: "Upload speed when downloading" in preferences.
It should limit the upload speed only when there is an active download. It is useful for dsl users.

A scheduler is also required along with the profiles,

The scheduler is the only feature I badly miss in qbittorrent.

Transmission has one of the simplest schedulers, which allows speed throttling at specified time (From-to).

uTorrent is at the other extreme, letting users specify speed profiles by the hour.

I find transmission sufficient for my needs.

I working on "alternative bandwidth limits" as well as the bandwidth scheduler for next major release.

Alternative bandwidth mode was implemented. The scheduler is in progress and I expect it to be complete by the end of the day.
