Bug Description
Binary package hint: collectd
On Ubuntu 8.04.2:
1. sudo apt-get install collectd lm-sensors
2. sudo sensors-detect
3. modprobe the relevant modules
4. run 'sensors' and verify that the information can be retrieved
5. sudo vi /etc/collectd/
6. sudo /etc/init.
Expected behavior: collectd starts collecting sensor info
Actual behavior: it doesn't. /var/log/daemon.log says:
Jan 4 20:12:59 muskatas collectd[29337]: sensors plugin: stat (/etc/sensors.conf) failed: No such file or directory
Jan 4 20:12:59 muskatas collectd[29337]: sensors plugin: fopen(/
Jan 4 20:12:59 muskatas collectd[29337]: read-function of plugin `sensors' failed. Will suspend it for 10 seconds.
that file doesn't exist on my system; I only have /etc/sensors3.conf.
