I am aware. However, you must understand that qBittorrent is merely a GUI for libtorrent-rasterbar. As far as I know, libtorrent-rasterbar still does not support uTP. So there is nothing I can do yet, appart from filing a feature request against libtorrent-rasterbar. This is what I did, I added the report link to this bug report.

The upstream bug report seems to say something about uTP being added. Is there an update for this thread?

libtorrent uTP branch seems to be almost ready but it has not yet been merged intro trunk (and of course not been included in any libtorrent stable release yet). Basically, as soon as uTP gets merged into trunk and that a stable release is made with uTP in it, then qBittorrent will directly get support for it.

It is kinda out of my control at the moment but it seems to be progressing quite fast on libtorrent side so hopefully we should get it soon.

There is no way I will base qbittorrent on some unstable version of libtorrent just to get uTP support. Stability is always the prime objective and we include libtorrent advances only when they are well tested. I cannot take any risk with this.

Oh, it's still a branch. I wasn't quite sure looking at that thread.

Indeed, keep up the great work. I tried 3-5 bitorrent clients on ubuntu, but nothing was as intuitive, clean, well-performing, and used as little resources as qbittorent :)
Oh right. Many of the clients seemed to kill my internet...

According to linked bug on libtorrent-rasterbar, the utp branch was merged into trunk. What is the status for qbittorrent?

qBittorrent has uTP support since v2.8.0, provided that it is built against libtorrent v0.16.0.
