Bug Description

This is on Dapper Drake, as of June 18th 2006's update.

Crashes occurred when multiple programs were opened:
OpenOffice (writer)
Firefox (multiple tabs, including myspace)
Thunderbird
Nautilus

The entire screen froze, with even the system monitor applets frozen and absolutely no key combination changing anything; ctl-alt-backspace, clt-alt-del, ctl-alt-f1, etc. Nothing.

This happened twice this afternoon alone. I cold rebooted and all was well until the next time.

I'm at a loss as to how to replicate it; my wife has used this programs together for weeks, and they're working right now, but the trust's gone a little bit. How do I figure out which program is causing the issues?

Thank you

It's only happened a few times; it's been a couple days without it
happening. What should I do if it does happen again?

512/512. It's an older Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop.

I'm thinking it may just be hardware primarily, as it's slowly giving
out; we've had to replace a few components already and it's been
acting erratic. I'm running the exact same version of everything on my
desktop and haven't experienced any troubles of the sort.

I'll reject this bug now, as you said it seemed to be hardware issues.
