Bug Description
Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace
I've upgraded from kubuntu 9.04 amd64 to 9.10 amd64 (using the upgrade tool) and now I can't modify kickoff menu any-more.
If I use kmenuedit to modify an application command and use the save button, the message windows with the progress bar appears but disappears immediately (no progress bar) and if I check again if the modification has been saved closing and re opening kmenuedit, the modifications are not been saved.

I've also discovered that if I copy a menu item and modify the copy, modifications are correctly saved. So as a workaround it is possible to copy an item, modify it, delete the original one and save.
However it is not as it should work.
