Bug Description
I use a serial connection to admin a headless Ubuntu machine. I configured Grub and the kernel to work over the serial port, but memtest86 needs to be recompiled to support this (see SERIAL_
Could the memtest86+ package include serial support? The memtest README states that it slows things down, so could it be configurable? Could the memtest86 package provide a serial and non-serial image for grub? Or could there be a separate package for this?

With the latest upstream version, 2.00, you should be able to give it as linux boot parameter. It is not packaged yet though :-(
