Bug Description
Binary package hint: netbook-launcher
Hello :)
1) After i installed ubuntu netbook remix 9.04 from usb key i performed an update (using update manager by clicking on the button saying something like "update to 9.10") to 9.10. -> 9.10
2) matu@matu-laptop:~$ apt-cache policy netbook-launcher
netbook-launcher:
Installé : 2.1.12-0ubuntu3
Candidat : 2.1.12-0ubuntu3
Table de version :
*** 2.1.12-0ubuntu3 0
500 http://
100 /var/lib/
3) I expect it to not to lag
4)After i plug my external screen 1900x1200 (iiyama Prolite E2403WS) on my notebook 1280x800 (Dell inspiron 6000) and set the screens to use the resolutions i specified above and relog in gnome, "netbook-launcher" starts blinking and takes a lot of cpu usage (something like 30% on my pentium-m simple core 1.6GHz) , Xorg and xchat takes a lot of cpu too (something like 5% for each of them...)
Bye and thank you for your work.

As soon as you plug and configure second display, netbook-launcher starts using a lot of CPU power. Switching to classic desktop fixes the problem and system starts working fine. In search for a solution i found this post on a forum:

I just encountered the same problem. This part of the xorg.conf was the culprit:
SubSection "Display"
Virtual 2515 2136
EndSubSection
Run "dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg" as described in the xorg.conf file's comments. It will regenerate the file (without the Virtual stuff) and netbook-launcher should work normally again after restarting X.
