Binary package hint: xserver-
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10
Hardware: acer 5635Z - 442g25 notebook
Error: Seeing Boot-up screen, but after that, monitor is just black. If I attach external monitor, I can see GNOME working fine...
I did:
sudo apt-get install update / upgrade
But did not solve the error. Error is persistend after reboot. I can exclude harware issues, internal monitor is working in BIOS.

Thanks for trying to make ubuntu better.
As you have pointed out this report is a duplicate of bug 425165 so I am marking it as such.
As I have said in several comments of bug 425165, this has already been fixed in lucid. So the future looks bright for us owners of the 5635Z :-) .
