Bug Description

Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-185

This only occurs with nvidia proprietary driver, and only on cold boot. Doing a warm boot, or using a different video card does not reproduce the problem. In addition, the 195 driver does not fix this problem either.

Basically in startup scripts, a second Xorg instance is started (in addition to the normal gdm instance) on :5/vt11. The display will hang (strace shows on select()) until switching the console to vt11.

We implemented a work around for this issue by adding a couple seconds sleep between starting up the second X server.
