Bug Description

This bug has been anoying me for a few weeks and I haven't figured out a way to solve it so I'm reporting. When I suspend the laptop (suspend-to-ram), everytime I resume it, it goes back to sleep almost immediately.

I can't tell if the problem is acpi-support or gnome-power-manager. I'm more than willing to provide any and all information you may find useful to stop this from happening.

The laptop is an HP dv1245ea and about until Dapper RC it didn't have this behaviour.

Can you include an:

  lshal -m

and the output from:

  sudo acpi_listen

over one of your suspend cycles; If you normally Resume the laptop by pressing the power-button event, then this may not be getting cleared.
