Unfortunately Nvidia didn't update their driver 71.xx to add the support for recent releases of the xserver that Ubuntu uses. There is nothing we can do to solve this problem because the driver is proprietary and we don't have access to its source code.

We plan on replacing the driver with the open source "nouveau" driver which (in the future) will support 3D acceleration.
