Bug Description

Binary package hint: wammu

Distro: Ubuntu 9.10
Source package: wammu
Version: 0.30.1-2

Hi all,
I tried to use wammu with 3G GSM DONGLE "ONDA MDC502HS". It is a multi-device attached on USB port. When attached, it is seen as a "CD-ROM". After having (virtually) "ejected" it, the dongle switches to a 3G GSM device and these devices appear under /dev:

ls -al /dev/ttyUSB*
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 188, 0 2009-12-28 14:30 /dev/ttyUSB0
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 188, 1 2009-12-28 14:39 /dev/ttyUSB1
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 188, 2 2009-12-28 14:30 /dev/ttyUSB2

The output of "lsusb" is:

lsusb | grep ONDA
Bus 003 Device 004: ID 19d2:0002 ONDA Communication S.p.A. ET502HS/MT505UP ZTE MF632

Wammu is configured to use the device "/dev/ttyUSB1". The first time I try to use the connect command in Wammu, it waits a long while and then it reports a time out (the relative log is attached).

If, without closing Wammu and without unplugging the device, I try to connect again, the connection happens successfully.

I hope this piece of information can be useful, Bye.
