Bug Description

I have a ZNYX ZX346Q quad-ethernet card with 4x21143-PD tulip chips, information and drivers here:

http://www.znyx.com/products/hardware/zx340q.htm

The card does not work under Ubuntu Jaunty and Karmic, generating the following error on any attempt to use any of the interfaces on the card:

0000:06:04.0: tulip_stop_rxtx() failed (CSR5 0xf0660000 CSR6 0xb3862002)

Booting with "acpi=off" or "pci=routeirq" do not help.

Relevant output from dmesg:

Any attempt to build the driver on Zynex website spits out errors, since it is supposedly only compatible with GCC 3.4. Any ideas on a workaround?

Hi Andrew,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
