Bug Description

Binary package hint: mozilla-firefox

Ubuntu 9.04 64 Bit
Firefox Version: 3.0.16

When trying to view flash videos in firefox i receive the following error message,

Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module": /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libcanberra-gtk-module.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

To reproduce just start firefox in a terminal window and go to a flash video page. You will see the message appear in the terminal.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. If you could test the current Ubuntu development version, this would help us a lot. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running 'apport-collect 500708' in the Terminal, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

I have tried this in Version 3.6 of firefox and can confirm that it is fixed.

This bug report is being closed due to your last comment regarding this being fixed with an update. The "Fix Released" status is not appropriate in this case since we do not know the exact cause or fix for this bug.
