Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

It seems that after the update I have no longer the rights as a user to set the CPU frequency. The applet ignores setting the frequency or the governor with my mouse.

does it work if you set the governor by hand trough the console? maybe it's a driver issue.

In the meantime I realized, that I am not asked to enter my password when I try to set the frequency. However, this was the case for Ubuntu 9.04.

Yes, I can set it in the console with sudo. But as user I get the message:

Failed to acquire org.gnome.CPUFreqSelector: Connection ":1.62" is not allowed to own the service "org.gnome.CPUFreqSelector" due to security policies in the configuration file
