Bug Description

Using "Unofficial" Inkscape 0.47 for Mac PPC Tiger

Notification Region goes blank when cursor moved over it when tools selected except for Arrow, Tweak Tool, Text Tool, and Dropper.

reproduced with Inkscape 0.47 on OS X 10.5.8
not reproduced with Inkscape 0.46 on OS X 10.5.8
