Bug Description

Binary package hint: gedit

1)
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10
2)
gedit: Installed: 2.28.0-0ubuntu2
3&4)
When I want to save a file with ctrl-shift-s I get an file open menu, which asks me to specify the file name.
If the ordering of the file browser panel is descending and has already been descending at the time of creation of the dialog, the following occurs:
If a click on "create new folder" a new folder entry "Type name of new folder" does appear at the _end_ of the list, while the focus
in some kind of name-change-mode goes to the _first_ element of the list. Now it is not possible to edit the name of the new folder, and it will not be created.
Note that the error is not reproducible if you change the order to descending and then directly try to create a new folder, but only if you change it to descending, close the dialog, open the dialog again, and then create a new folder.
