Hello,
I run Ubuntu Lucid alpha1 on Vm x86 64 and sometimes the applet UbuntuOne diseapear soemtimes from task bar.

Thank you for taking the time to file this bug report. Based on your Ubuntu One client settings, I think you have the applet set to only show when there is activity. You can always show the applet by doing the following (with Ubuntu One already running):
1. Open Applications- >Internet- >Ubuntu One syncdaemon ubuntuone- client- applet >Internet- >Ubuntu One
2. In the Ubuntu One preferences, set "Show icon:" to "Always"
3. Quit the Ubuntu One client by opening a terminal session and running:
killall ubuntuone-
4. Open Applications-
You should now always see the Ubuntu One client applet in your taskbar.
