Binary package hint: kopete

Hi,

Kopete does not connect at all to Yahoo! Messenger in Kubuntu 9.10 with KDE 4.3.4.

I've tried everything I found at Google (most related pages are from the middle of this year), but nothing works.

Kopete connects fine to the MSN Messenger protocol, though.

While PIdgin does connect to both, MSN and Yahoo! (tested under Windows XP SP3).

I was having trouble with this. I decided to update my password (via Yahoo.com) and was able to get access. I had to use the short form of my login name (no @yahoo.com) but it finally let me in.

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. But don't worry! This issue is being tracked by the KDE developers at: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=253181
Once fixed in KDE, it will be included in Kubuntu once the KDE version the fix is in in reaches Kubuntu.
