Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

Banshee doesn't recognize the media player when it's plugged in, it freezes. The underlying MTP programs are working, I used the command line tools to verify. I downloaded version 1.4.3 source for which karmic has all the required versions of libraries and compiled that. It works fine.
I'm using Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 amd64
Banshee version 1.5.1 is the version having trouble

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
