Going to sleep (by closing the lid) logs you out

When opening the lid again, you're logged out and you apps are terminated.

1. I can confirm this one and on the eeepc 900 I didn't even get a login screen. I need to switch off and then on again.
2. There is something odd about the menus too. When I install and remove form the package manager the icons don't always disappear from the NBR menu. When doing this there are lots of errors that can't be reported due to the process. They cant be reported as the system says it does not report this kind of error. Can't remember the details of the error but it was to do with something that started with app that the system did not report.
3. I upgraded from the beta today and ended up with EasyPeasy 1.8 alpha ??

....sorry to go on about this, but having installed the necessary pptp stuff the vpn does not work. This seems to be an ongoing 'thing' in Ubuntu. It worked in 9.04 didn't work in 9.10 and 'seems' not to work in 10.04 beta....shame!
