Bug Description

Mint 8 .- When scanning to preview you cannot change the area to be scanned as in previous versions of Mint. This is OK in the live cd of Ubuntu 9.10

Also when scanning the system saves two files, one the file as requested and a second a raw.pnm file. This occurs with whichever file extension that is chosen.

I have the same problem with Mint 8 32 bit. It works fine using the same scanner when plugged into my Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit. I have also noticed that the filename does not increment, don't know if this is related or a different bug.

I tried copying the .sane/xsane from the working machine to the Mint 8 and it didn't fix the problem

I'm wrong the counter does increment, you need to seed it by putting a number at the end of the file name like out000.jpg then it works as designed.

Same problem here with Mint 8 32 bit. The dashed line cannot be moved to change the scan area.
