Drupal should be checked out off DRUPAL-6, rather than a specific point release.

apt-get install sudo would also be nice to have for easy debugging purposes.

(Note that it's not just /lib, but /lib/modules, and some others. A chown -R root:root /lib might suffice. Doublecheckish.

I would increase the 'pifr_client_timeout' variable to 300 or so by default since these machines may run a bit slower...or at least until we have a good estimate.

On clients there should be a cron set to 5-10 minutes to run default drupal cron via cron.php.

If this AMI is intended to run on dual core and up the concurrency setting 'pifr_client_concurrency' should be set to something > 1. That is passed to run-tests.sh which will then spawn the that number of processes when running tests.
