Is branch 1.1 obsolete?

What is our current intent with maintaining the 1.1 branch? Are there maintenance releases planned for the 1.1.x branch?

There are no maintenance releases planned for the 1.1 series. So the situation looks like this:

1.3 series: current development (new features)
1.2 series: stable release (including maintenance releases to fix bugs)
1.1 series: obsolete

We've changed the name and owner for this branch. Maybe we can use some of the committed code in one of the upcoming releases.
