Cannot Delete read emails.

I receive emails, read them, then can't delete them. Either using Delete icon at top of screen or right click>delete. This has just started. Using a gmail account with DSL provider

I received my CD for 9.04 from Linux @ url: https://shipit.ubuntu.com/
I have updated it regularly.
Not sure why this report says it is not genuine?

Does this happen with each mail or just some? Are you connected via POP or IMAP?

Hi and thanks for the reply. It was happening with all emails, with
POP. After 1 week of this, today when I tried I was able to delete
them. Not sure why, haven't played with the setting between when I
posted and today...so far so good. If it is intermittent I will re-post
to dig deeper. If you have any possible reasons for it to happen in the
first place I'll add to my "issues" folder!
