export po formatting doesn't match gettext

Launchpad exported translations to a branch. If I go inside po directory and run update-po. I get a lot of whitespace difference. Can launchpad export same whitespace column formatting as gettext? Generates unnecessary diff on each commit after update-po has been run and committed.

Hi Dmitrijs, I don't consider this an actual bug. It'd be nice to fix, but not enough to warrant keeping it open in the bug tracker: using msgcat can help you reduce size of the diffs. If it annoys you enough that you'd even want to fix it yourself, I'd be happy to re-open bug #29247 and help you get it done (it's not hard, it's just tedious since a lot of tests might need to be updated as well). If you want to start yourself, you can start at https://dev.launchpad.net/ (don't forget, Launchpad is open source :).
