Bug Description
Some packages (e.g. skype) don't show up even after repeated "apt-get update"s. To investigate this I tried to look at the package list for Karmic in a web-browser. Repeatedly pressing reload in my browser non-determinist

I was trying to install skype. Manually adding details for skype-common and skype-static to /var/lib/
(Sorry, can't use ubuntu-bug since this doesn't seem to be package-related.)

Hi,
Thanks for your bug report.
Skype is being removed from our repository (Bug #494564), and ffmpeg added for karmic (Bug #490227). The problem is that (at least) one mirror is completely out of date (~1 week), so depending on the one you reach when doing apt-get update, you'll obtain different results... =]
