Bug Description

Binary package hint: avidemux

When encoding a video in avidemux, an animated icon is placed in the system tray. After the encoding is finished, that icon will stay there and another one will be added for the next video you encode. The icons disappear as soon as you close avidemux.

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10

$ apt-cache policy avidemux
avidemux:
  Installed: 1:2.5.1+repack-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 1:2.5.1+repack-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 1:2.5.1+repack-0ubuntu2 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/multiverse Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I expected each avidemux to place one icon in the system tray only.
Instead, many useless icons are placed in the system tray.

Oh, this happens in the gtk version of avidemux. Using the kde4 panel if it makes a difference. I wasn't aware of the qt version of avidemux and have switched to it. I'll report if the same thing happens.
