Bug Description

Binary package hint: deluge

When I seed a file I still see non-zero download rates in peers window. On the other hand, global download rate is still visible as 0,0. It is inconsistent.

I'd expect deluge not to show >0.0 download rate by a peer I'm seeding to, not downloading from.

I've been using Deluge 1.2.2-2 on Lucid and this bug does not occur for me.

Can you please upgrade to the newer version of Deluge from deluge-team's PPA (https://launchpad.net/~deluge-team/+archive/ppa) and see if this bug still occurs? Thanks!

(If you have upgraded Ubuntu 9.10 to a newer release, please let us know.)

I upgraded to Lucid. I haven't used Deluge for a while and now I don't have anything to seed to check if the bug is still present.

It's the same as for downloading from seeds - they seem to have non-zero download speed. I guess Deluge counts also control data, not only the actual files. I don't think it's a good idea to show these numbers summed up, but maybe it was intended.

You may submit a new bug report requesting that Deluge should not be counting the download of control data.

Though after rereading the original description of your bug, I think it's better to reopen this bug report and report it upstream to the Deluge developers.

(I confirmed that this bug occurs on Deluge 1.2.3.)

I should comment that this bug also occurs on Deluge 1.2.2-2, despite what I said in comment #2. I was looking in the wrong place.
