gnome desktop hangs on login, only failsafe-gnome mode works

After i installed ubuntu 9.04, when i login, the system hangs and it doesnt works, even keyboard keys.
I can login only on fail-safe gnome mode.
In failsafe gnome mode, some features are disabled.
So i need a solution for this.
