Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

i normally use Pidgin, because it has more options and a little bit better interface, so i have Pidgin running and Empathy is really closed (not closed to tray) but sometimes when a new user comes online and sends me a message Empathy starts and shows up. then Pidgin is disconnected from that service the user is on.
that's really annoying because i don't have the functionality and another log in this case.

when empathy is fully closed then how can it start automatically?

i don't know how it starts automatically but it was fully closed, not only minimized or with the close button, i closed from the menu.

it have to be reproducable, because it happens not only one time.
it's a bit time gone since i have Empathy installed and now it's uninstalled because of this bug. but i had the same accounts in both programs but used Pidgin, in my memory Pidgin was minimized to tray and Empathy was fully closed then when a message from a friend comes in Empathy starts and shows up the chat window...

Is that still an issue? Can you detail a procedure to reproduce the issue, with an without the me menu btw, this way we'll know if it's related or not. Thanks

I think it has to do with mission-control, I have the same problem but it's not easily reproducible.

We are closing this bug report because it lacks the information we need to investigate the problem, as described in the previous comments. Please reopen it if you can give us the missing information. steps to reproduce this bug would be really helpful if the problem still exists in Maverick.
