The Google SketchUp file format (*.skp) is closed but it is possibile to use the API downloadable from

Other way SketchUp esport in *.kmz, i.e. a COLLADA file that is open (Blender import/export it).

Given that Sketchup can export to SVG format (thanks to an SVG exporter plugin, see http://code.google.com/p/sketchup-svg-outline-plugin/), I see no point in implementing an importer in Inkscape.
