Bug Description

Binary package hint: unetbootin

-As a preamble I must say I tried to use the default USBCreator of Ubuntu in System>Administration (Karmic-upgraded from Jaunty) [its real name is not available, and that's not very friendly]. Under Jaunty it didn't work neither with Clonezilla or 64studio, that are debian/ubuntu based distro. In Karmic it assumes as fixed source, and can't be changed, the cd-like provider firmware of my pendrive-modem, but I remark again source-disk cannnot be changed.
So I opened Synaptic and downloaed Unetbootin, read its wiki documents: and this the argument of the registered bug:
-then I tried to make a usb-live of pts-live (phoronix-test-suite, also this debian/ubuntu-like) on a 4Gb CorsairVoyager(really ~3.7/8Gb). Also Unetbootin can't succed with any distribution, and I tried also because anyway it was not blacklisted.
1) From Applications>SystemTools I operated to flash the ISO image on the pendrive, but it didn't boot (it seems Ubuntu was flashed, but kernel can't be found), so I tried again
2) from Applications>Accessories>Terminal with sudo unetbootin, the work seemed to go further than before, I left the program going on all night, at 0% of bootloader installment, and in the morning I found it yet blocked to that 0%, so I closed the application, and at this point the bug alarm activates.
-Maybe a) some .conf or permission need different settings;
             b) the flash memory is too small;
             c) Flashing live dostros on usb pendrive is easier from a windows environment than from a linux one, and this is a severe fault.
Thanks for attention
and ask if some dumped infos are needed.
