Bug Description

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

After upgrading to Lucid last night, my terminal-bell has been nearly inaudible. I have used alsamixer to make sure all sounds levels were high. Other system sounds, music, etc. played at a normal level. Also, when changing the 'alert sound' in System>Preferences>Sound to a different sound, the terminal-bell still plays the default sound. This was not an issue while using Karmic. It is also apparent after creating a new user account with all default settings.
