Bug Description

Hello,

My web connection does not work OK under the Kubuntu Dapper Drake, but it worked correctly under the Breezy.

when I boot my machine, the Dapper is not capable of connecting automatically. It is necessary to open the KDE Wireless Assistant and to order to connect the Internet.

The first attempt always fails and in the following attempt the connection is established.

After this, is enough to close the KDE Wireless Assistant.

I have a Samsung SWL 2300P wireless card. It works OK without ndiswrapper.

My connection does not use DHCP. The configuration is manual.

I believe that this is a BUG of the KDE Wireless Assistant.

Greetings to the Kubuntu/Ubuntu/Edubuntu/Xubuntu Team

The parameters supplied during the Kubuntu installation are lost, as well as the parameters informed to the Wireless Assistant.

The file /etc/network/interfaces is empty and is necessary to edit it manually to correct the problem.

Also, could you please confirm you are still using dapper and experiencing this problem, otherwise we will need to close this bug.
Thank you,

I'm closing this bug. Substantial improvement have been made in wireless support in Feisty. Also, I would suggest asking your question in the support tracker. <http://launchpad.net/support>. Thank you.
