Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.
At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's "Help -> Report a Problem" menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

I used apport via ubuntu-bug to report this bug. The screen saver only works on blank screen. I expect it to work on the other elections ads well. What else do you need? I will try to supply what I can.

Well, I don't really understand that problem you're trying to describe, as the description is very vague. "The screen saver only works on blank screen. I expect it to work on the other elections ads well." doesn't really mean a lot.

Using ubuntu-bug to submit bug reports isn't a substitute for writing a good description of the problem

Ok, what you mean is the animated screensaver themes don't work any more, and only give a blank screen. I can confirm that here too. Are you using the patched GTK from the ubuntu-desktop PPA by any chance?

The clue to the breakage is here:

[manager_select_theme_for_job] gs-manager.c:250 (22:27:34): Could not find information for theme: fiberlamp

gnome-screensaver gets the theme information from desktop files in /usr/share/applications/screensavers. Sebastien just confirmed on IRC that removing the gnome-menus cache resolves the issue, so I'm reassigning this to gnome-menus now.

affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) → gnome-menus (Ubuntu)

This bug was fixed in the package gnome-menus - 2.28.0.1-0ubuntu5

---------------
gnome-menus (2.28.0.1-0ubuntu5) lucid; urgency=low

  * Fix file_id values when using cache:
    - 22_desktop-cache.patch: Set correct basename (missing .desktop
      extension).
    - 22_desktop-cache.patch: Create CachedDir subdirectories for subdirectory
groups, so that the file-ids have "subdirectory-" prepended.
    - debian/update-gnome-menus-cache: Prepend subdirectory to group names, to
      preserve correct file path.
    - This fixes wrong location of software-center (LP: #494607), menu entries
appearing twice after a package upgrade, and gnome-screensaver not
      finding its themes (LP: #494669)
