Bug Description

Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird

Hello, I have Ubuntu 9.10 and "latest" (2.0.0.23 hihi) Thunderbird.
Normaly, Thunderbird is hidden in panel icon when "closing" application, but somtetimes it happes, that Thunderbird does not come up, when I click on small panel icon. I think it has something to do with Compiz (I use Compiz). Trouble is, I can not reproduce this problem. It happens 2x a week?

I am unable to reproduce this in Karmic nor Lucid

Please post the output of the following commands:

lsb_release -a
uname -a
apt-cache policy thunderbird

Can you please try the following:

1. disable compiz (you may need to restart gnome
2. are you than able to reproduce the issue?

Hi, I know... I am not able (as I mention it) to reproduce it, too. It comes randomly (only a little)... I was hoping that someone having this problem will maybe give me some advice how to get rid of it. When it starts bugging and I restart window manager, the bug suddenly dissappers.

Im sorry, my fault. I did not realize, that thuderbird does not even have own tray icon.
I managed it via thunderbird plugin, and there is a bug in this plugin having this behaviour. Thanks
