Bug Description

Binary package hint: xfce4

Some applications such as Bit Torrent cause Xubuntu(and Ubuntu)'s menus to disappear. This can be fixed by typing "xfce4-panel" on a terminal, but isn't save unless one saves session; if you host multiple users, this won't work when you switch users.

The creation of a new account is required. Here is my post:

This basically affects the whole user interface, but isn't very hard to fix.

Thank you for this report. I do have multiple users on my system, and using 'xfce4-panel &' has worked in all versions of xubuntu since 7.10. Of course, you could also simply erase the ~/.config directory, where the panel information is stored. That would allow you to recreate that directory and settings without creating a new user.

Do your panels disappear every time bit-torrent is used? Is this reproducible?
