Bug Description
I' m not sure if it' s a bug i am reporting, anyway, my keyboard doesn't work properly. When i choose the USA lay-out it almost works correct. Just the numeric keyboard behaves like a cursor mover, no matter what option i take.
I checked out on the internet but did not find a solution. In Microsoft Windows i (we, five people are using this device) don't have this problem.
I'm using the latest version, 9.10 from Ubuntu but the version before had the same failure.
I'm not able to track the version of the package in the Synaptic.
I have updated the system today, tuesday 08 december 2009.
Another problem is the sleeping mode. The computer does not restart at all, already after 15 minutes. I had to pull the plug out. But in this case a didn't review all the options
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. Can you attach the output of the following commands ?
$ uname -a > ~/uname-a
$ sudo lspci -vvnn > ~/lspci-vvnn
$ dmesg > ~/dmesg
and the log file /var/log/ Xorg.0. log.
About the problem of restore from suspend, can you add a new bug associated with the linux package ? You can find more about kernel bug policies in https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/KernelTeam/ KernelTeamBugPo licies .
Thanks in advance.
