Bug Description
Microyacht reported on the forums:
"I use a GPS with my Eee PC 900 with gpsd and either GPSdrive or OpenCPN navigation software.
It's all works fine with Eeebuntu for the passed 6 months or so and with WinXP Pro with the gps's own driver. BUT I've not been able to get it to work with Easy Peasy.
I used Synaptic to install GPSd, I start the GPSd and it appears to be running but I get no nmea data, satellites or anything in the utility prog: xgps and no GPS found in the two Nav programs. As soon as I revert back to Eeebuntu, it's working "straight out of the box" as they say!
Can anyone help or is there some reason it won't work in Easy Peasy. I spent the weekend on it and really would like to stay with EP. For whatever reason, EP runs faster than Eeebuntu and I just generally prefer it overall."

Microyacht: "I've just installed EP 1.6Beta on my Asus Eee PC 900. Apart from the obvious missing right-hand control panel pane, everything looks more or less the same and is working OK.
To use my GPS I have to install the linux universal gps driver package: GPSD (It works with almost every GPS). Took me a while to download and install it using Synaptic Manager but eventually and at long last have my Marine GPS working.
Also downloaded and installed OpenCPN Navigation software. Then copied over my 26,000 Marine Charts (CM93).
For the first time using EP, it's all working GREAT. :D"
