after signup and email-link-follow and login, site still asks for login

Bug Description

to reproduce:
1 - make new account
2- goto email (i use webmail), click link, new tab opens in my browser with message:
Your email address has been verified successfully. Please Login to continue.
The word Login is a link
3- click Login link .. get login form, put in data .. click log in button (note use of 'Login' vs' Log In')
4- funny, am now back to same state .. page says:
Your email address has been verified successfully. Please Login to continue.

It appears i can go through this cycle as many times as i want.

this happened with firefox 3.5.5 on OSX 10.5.8

Login bugs should be fixed as soon as possible. Please bump this up your to do list, Anand.

And, Sam is right about the use of the word "Login" - that's a noun, but if we're asking someone to log in to the system, that's two words. Please update the email copy, Anand.

Actually, I think this is just a hangover from the standard redirection process that happens elsewhere on the site - ie, you are redirected to the page you were last on.

We need to catch a person's FIRST LOGIN and treat it differently, (I suggest) we redirect them to the home page with a confirmation message. (As per email sent from me on 12/07.)
